Elite Units To Be Merged Into New Commando Brigade

The Israeli army is establishing a new commando brigade from four existing units, reports Haaretz (Israel).
The decision was announced on Monday by Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, the defense chief. The merged brigade is part of a multi-year plan intended to improve the military's capabilities against terrorist and guerrilla organizations.
