Maj. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, the head of the Northern Command, has declined an offer to serve as deputy chief of general staff, reports the Jerusalem Post.
Eizenkot's decision was apparently affected by the "Galant document" scandal, which soured his relationship with Maj. Gen. Yoav Galant, the newly appointed chief of staff.
