In Effort To Foil Talks, Palestinian Groups Pledge Attacks

Meeting in Gaza City, 13 Palestinian militant groups threatened Thursday to carry out attacks against Israel during direct peace talks hosted in Washington, Al Jazeera (Qatar) reports.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad lead the groups opposing the negotiations.
Hamas leaders said the various militant groups will team to launch "more effective attacks" against Israel.
A spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, the Hamas military wing, called the talks "useless."
