EADS Commissioned For More Future Soldier Systems

The German procurement agency, BWB, has ordered another 220 basic future soldier systems (Infanterist der Zukunft BS) for the German army, reports EADS Defense and Security, builder of the systems.
The order is part of an immediate procurement intended to meet needs for forces operating in Afghanistan.
Upon delivery, the German army will have a total of 2,500 IdZ BS equipment sets.
