E-2D Hawkeye Gets Modifications; Tokyo Plans More Planes

U.S. Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Northrop Grumman a US$151 million contract modification for the procurement of an E-2D Hawkeye aircraft for Japan, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The modification was made to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive contract to build a single E-2D tactical airborne early warning aircraft under a Foreign Military Sale agreement, said the DoD on Thursday.
Work is expected to be completed in March 2018.
