Duterte Fully Restores Visiting Forces Agreement With U.S.

President Rodrigo Duterte has restored an agreement with the U.S. that provides a legal framework for American troops in the Philippines, reports the Rappler (Manila).
On Friday, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana announced that the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with the U.S. had been restored following a meeting between Duterte and U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who is visiting the Philippines.
