During Test Of Emergency Plans, Fighter Lands On Expressway

During a trial of its capabilities, an Indian air force fighter jet has landed on a major civilian highway, reports NDTV.

A Mirage 2000 jet landed Thursday on the Yamuna Expressway. The aircraft made a practice landing approach before touching down, said an air force statement.

The highway connects New Delhi and tourist destination in Agra and Mathura.

The air force plans to develop some highways as emergency runways, said the statement.
