Forty-four U.S. Army personnel have been injured by lightning during training in Florida, reports Reuters.
Forty Ranger students and four instructors were struck on Wednesday at Eglin Air Force Base near Pensacola, said the Army.
The incident took place while the students were learning lightning protection protocols, reported the Army Times.
All 44 were taken to the hospital; 17 students and three instructors stayed overnight. The others were released, said the service. ...
