Nigerian troops have killed a Boko Haram leader in the country's northeast and freed nine abducted children, reports the Guardian (Nigeria), citing an army official.
Terrorist leader Abu Nazir was killed in fighting on June 11 in the village of Jarawa in Borno state after Boko Haram militants ambushed troops that were on the way to a militant camp, said an army spokesman on Monday.
