A suspected drug-trafficker has been killed by a U.S. government agent in northern Honduras.
A member of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) killed the suspect Saturday during a raid on a drug-smuggling operation, reports the New York Times.
The suspect was reaching for a weapon when he was shot, said a spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Honduras.
This was the first time a U.S. agent has killed someone during operations in Honduras, said the DEA.
