A U.S. drone strike has killed a senior Islamic State figure in Syria, says a monitoring group cited by Reuters.
An Uzbek leader of ISIS involved with security was killed in Raqqa as he sat in a car outside a hotel, said the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday.
The Islamic State uses Raqqa as its defacto capital. The U.S. has intensified its bombing campaign against the group in and around the city.
