Drone Strikes Target Militants In S. Waziristan

Local residents say at least nine people have been killed by an apparent U.S. drone in South Waziristan in Pakistan's border region, reports the Dawn (Pakistan).
On Wednesday, two missiles reportedly hit a compound in Wana belonging to Mullah Nazir's group, one of the most influential militants involved in the fight against U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.
Two other missiles in the area reportedly targeted a vehicle used by militants.
