A drone strike has killed three suspected Al-Qaida militants in southern Yemen, says a local security official and residents cited by Reuters.
The strike took place late Thursday in the Mudiyah district of Abyan province, said the official.
The missile targeted a motorcycle that was carrying the militants, he said.
The U.S. has repeatedly targeted Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) militants. AQAP and its affiliate Ansar al-Sharia operate in Abyan.
