Pakistani security forces say they battled Taliban fighters on Thursday in the northwestern Orakzai agency, the Daily Times (Pakistan) reports.
Twenty-two militants and two paramilitary soldiers were reported killed in the heavy fighting. Two other Frontier Corps soldiers were wounded, according to government officials.
