A local medic says overnight clashes in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa have left at least 41 people dead, Al Jazeera (Qatar) reports.
Those killed Wednesday in the northern part of the city included government soldiers and opposition tribesmen, officials said.
At least one government building caught fire after being hit by a mortar shell, witnesses said.
On Tuesday, security forces shot and killed two protesters in the city of Taiz, activists said.
