Dozens Killed, Injured In Suicide Attack At Shi'ite Mosque In Herat

The death toll from Tuesday's suicide bombing at a Shi'ite mosque in western Afghanistan has risen to 29, say Afghan officials cited by Tolo News (Afghanistan).

More than 60 were also injured in the Tuesday evening incident.

A suicide bomber opened fire at the Jawadia mosque in Herat province before blowing himself up, according to Herat officials.

Some early reports said there were two attackers. A subsequent statement by the governor said only one was involved.
