Dozens of people have been killed in fighting between two related clans in the autonomous Hirshabelle region in south-central Somalia, reports Radio Dalsan (Mogadishu).
The clashes began on Sunday morning and killed at least 40 people. Regional officials deployed security forces to end the fighting.
The two pastoralist clans have been battling over land, pasture and water for the last decade, the news station said.
