Dozens Of Apaches To Be Rebuilt

The U.S. Army has awarded Boeing Defense Space and Security, Mesa, Ariz., a contract to remanufacture dozens of AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, reports the Dept. of Defense.
Last week's $190 million award covers the remanufacture of 72 AH-64A helicopters into the AH-64D configuration. It also includes a single Apache Longbow crew trainer.
Work is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2014.
