Yemeni security officials say dozens of Al-Qaida militants have escaped from a prison in the southern city of Mukalla, Reuters reports.
The breakout followed an attack earlier Wednesday on Munawara prison in which one soldier was killed and two others were wounded, said security officials.
A total of 62 prisoners escaped, said officials.
All of the escaped convicts were Yemeni citizens; most had been jailed after returning from Iraq where they fought for Al-Qaida, said...
