Afghan defense officials say three Mi-35 attack helicopters that were donated by India have been assembled and are fully operational, reports the Press Trust of India.
A fourth Mi-35 is expected to be delivered in the near future.
The operational aircraft will be used for the first time in operations in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, according to the Afghan Defense Ministry.
