The Pentagon's comptroller says no more major budget cuts will be announced until the 2012 defense budget is revealed next year, Defense News reports.
The new budget is scheduled to be delivered to Capitol Hill on Feb. 7, said Robert Hale.
Legislators have complained that they were blindsided by recent major budget slashes before this year's elections.
