DoD Calls For Reallocation Of $3.9 Billion For Afghan Ops

The Dept. of Defense is seeking to shift nearly $4 billion in previously allocated funding to buy equipment needed for operations in Afghanistan, reports Defense News.
The proposal sent to Congress calls for $200 million from the Bradley fighting vehicle program to be moved, and $143 million to be shifted from research and development funding for the Army's combat vehicle improvement program.
