DoD Anticipates China's New Nuclear Sub Will Start Patrols Within Months

The U.S. Dept. of Defense says China is likely to deploy its new nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine for the first time by the end of the year, reports Bloomberg News.
China's Jin-class submarines are armed with the JL-2 submarine-launched ballistic missile, according to the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency. The DIA previously predicted the subs would begin operations last year.
