Chinese and Vietnamese diplomats have agreed to deal with a dispute over the South China Sea through negotiations, reports China Daily.
Relations have been especially strained over the past month over regional sovereignty disputes.
Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with Vietnamese Vice Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son in Beijing on Saturday to discuss the maritime issues.
