New Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos met Tuesday with Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez in an attempt to repair strained relations between the countries, reports the New York Times.
Meeting in Santa Marta on Colombia's Caribbean coast, the presidents agreed to exchange ambassadors, improve military border patrols and determine how Venezuela would pay some US$800 million in debts to Colombian companies.
