Diplomat Quits Post In Belgium, Seeks Asylum In Norway

A diplomat for the Iranian Embassy in Belgium has defected and is seeking asylum in Norway, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
Press attache Farzad Farhangian said on Tuesday his action stemmed from Tehran's crackdown on the opposition following disputed June 2009 elections.
The Iranian government made no immediate comment on the resignation, the BBC reported.
