Destroyer William P. Lawrence Christened In Pascagoula

The U.S. Navy has christened its newest guided missile destroyer at Northrop Grumman's facilities in Pascagoula, Miss., reports the Dept. of Defense.
The William P. Lawrence (DDG-110) is named after the late Vice Adm. William Lawrence who spent six years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam and later was the superintendent of the Naval Academy.
