The British Royal Navy has commissioned another Daring-class destroyer into service at Portsmouth Naval Base, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
The Dauntless (D-33), the second of six Daring-class destroyers being built for the Royal Navy, joined the fleet on Thursday. All six ships are expected to be based at Portsmouth.
The destroyers are designed primarily for air defense tasks, but are also able to serve as a base for deployable headquarters, embark up to 60 troops...
