The delivery of 21 Mi-17V5 Russian utility helicopters to Afghanistan has been completed, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
The last three aircraft, ordered under a US$900 million contract with the U.S. Dept. of Defense in May 2011, were shipped to Afghanistan earlier this month, said officials with the Rosoboronexport arms export agency.
Another 10 helicopters may soon be ordered for the Afghan armed forces, the officials said.
