Deliveries To Begin Soon Of Russian Mine-Clearing Vehicles, Says Report

Russia will soon provide the Iraqi army with advanced mine-clearing vehicles, reports Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, citing a senior Iraqi official.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi is alleged to have signed a "secret" contract with Russia for the vehicles, which will be used to clear mines planted by the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, said the unnamed official.

The 400 armored vehicles will be handed over starting next week, he said.
