Defensive Weapons Said To Be Under Consideration For Taiping Island

The Taiwanese government is developing a comprehensive plan to strengthen its defensive capabilities on Taiping Island in the South China Sea, reports the Central News Agency (Taipei).

The island is also known as Itu Aba.

Taipei will not disclose details such as manpower and weapons deployment, a Defense Ministry spokesman said on Monday.
