Investigators have confirmed several flaws in the design of South Korea's K21 amphibious infantry fighting vehicle, Defense News reports.
The flaws were said to be responsible for sinkings of the vehicle in December 2009 and July 2010, according to the Ministry of National Defense.
Lack of buoyancy, malfunctioning of the wave plate and a problem with the drain pump were called the key factors in those accidents, said Defense Minister Kim Tae-young.
