Defense Ministry Shows Off X-2 Stealth Jet Prototype

The Japanese Defense Ministry has made public its domestically designed stealth fighter jet, reports the Wall Street Journal.
The X-2 test aircraft was unveiled to media Thursday at a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries factory in Nagoya.
The jet's maiden flight is anticipated for as early as mid-February, said ministry officials.
The prototype, smaller than a typical fighter jet, is unarmed and underpowered, according to analysts.
