The government in Cameroon says it will deploy another 2,000 troops will be deployed to the north to fight Boko Haram after recent attacks, reports Agence France-Presse.
The reinforcements were initially reported by state television on Tuesday. No timetable was given for the operation.
This would bring the total number of Cameroonian troops battling Boko Haram to 8,500.
