Defense Ministry Seeks To Delay Pace Of Troop Reduction

The South Korean Defense Ministry says it will slow the military's planned reduction in force, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
The previous plan called for the number of active-duty soldiers to be cut from 630,000 to 526,200 by 2022.
A proposed revision would change that target for completion to 2030, said a ministry official on Tuesday.
