Defense Ministry Plans For 26 Multirole Helicopters

The Defense Ministry has announced a tender for 26 multirole helicopters for the Polish army, reports Agence France-Presse.
The new program, announced last week, is worth an estimated 1.5-3.0 billion zlotys (US$480-960 million), and is a first step in replacing 250 Soviet-era army helicopters, said Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak.
The army wants the helicopters to be domestically built, reported local media.
