The Russian Defense Ministry has awarded the Transstroy engineering company a contract to rebuild a military airfield in Yeisk in southern Russia, reports Interfax-AVN.
The US$114 million contract covers the first phase of reconstruction, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
The work under the contract will include the removal of an old and laying of a new artificial field cover; expansion of the runway to 11,500 feet (3,500 m) long and 200 feet (60 m)...
