Defense Ministry Eyes US$300 Million In Cuts

The Finnish Defense Ministry has found around US$300 million in potential spending cuts in the 2012-2013 budget, reports Defense News.

If implemented, the reductions would merge or eliminate various army units and include organizational changes to Finland's principal military regions. Such restructuring is expected to be completed by 2016, according to Defense Secretary Lt. Gen. Arto Raty.
