The Polish Ministry of National Defense has decided to order more M-346 advanced jet trainers, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The 334 million euro (US$377 million) program exercises an option for four additional M-346 Bielik trainers as part of a contract that was signed in March 2018, the ministry said on Friday.
The deal also includes a logistics package to modernize the identification-friend-or-foe system on all Polish M-346 aircraft to the latest NATO standard.
The order will bring the Polish M-346 fleet to 16 jets.
Deliveries under the contract are scheduled to take place by the end of October 2022.
