The Japanese Ministry of Defense has selected three companies for a competition to replace its aging Type 96 wheeled armored personnel carriers, reports Defense News. The Acquisitions, Technology and Logistics Agency (ATLA) on Sept. 10 posted the announcement that General Dynamics from the U.S., Finland’s Patria and Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries would compete for the project.
