The Dutch Ministry of Defense has decided to modernize the army's Apache attack helicopters, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The current aircraft, the Block I configuration, lack capabilities such as the ability to capture images and video and send and receive such data, according to Defense Secretary Jack de Vries.
The Block II configuration adds those capabilities. A digital map display will also be added under the 116 million euro (US$172 million) program, de Vries said. ...
