Turkey's defense minister has slammed Greece for deploying weapons on Aegean islands near the Turkish coast, in violation of international agreements, reports the Kathimerini newspaper (Athens).
On Thursday, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar claimed that Athens had militarized 16 of the 23 islands in the Aegean that hold non-military status, reported the Anadolu Agency (Ankara).
The specific islands were not identified.
