The United States and New Zealand have signed an agreement to expand defense cooperation, though the deal does not change New Zealand's policy that bans port visits by nuclear-armed American warships, Agence France-Presse reports.
The agreement was signed Tuesday in Washington by U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and visiting New Zealand Defense Minister Jonathan Coleman.
