The Latvian government has indicated it will ask NATO for support if Russia deploys French-built Mistral warships in the Baltic Sea, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia and France recently signed a $1.7 billion (1.2 billion euro) contract for two French-built Mistral-class amphibious assault ships.
