Indian Defense Minister A.K. Antony met with U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates in Washington in Tuesday to discuss possible arms sales, Agence France-Presse reports.
India has been seeking to buy at least 10 C-17 cargo aircraft, in a potential deal worth up to $5 billion.
The defense leaders also reportedly discussed easing restrictions on Indian access to U.S. military technology. Gates has expressed support for such a move.
