Defense Industries Seen Benefitting From Cooperation Accord With Japan

The U.K. and Japan are finalizing a defense cooperation agreement that will include the joint development of military systems, reports London's Daily Telegraph.

The pact may also lead to more deployments of Royal Navy attack submarines to the Pacific, said officials.

Another possibility is Japanese investment in Britain's future combat ship program, as well as purchases by Tokyo of AW101 Merlin helicopters.
