A former defense minister has been appointed to head a team writing a new white paper that will outline the development of the armed forces over the next 10-15 years, reports the Czech News Agency.
Jiri Sedivy, currently the NATO assistant secretary-general for defense policy and planning, will lead the 15-member group. The document is expected to be completed in the spring of 2011, with the first reforms due in 2012, said Defense Minister Alexandr Vondra.
