Defense Dept. Names New Submarine Class After Finalizing Industrial Agreement

Australian Defense Minister Christopher Pyne has announced major milestones in the navy’s future submarine program, reports the Australian Defence Magazine.

The navy’s fleet of future submarines will be named the Attack class, representing its “inherent stealth, long-range endurance and lethality,” Pyne said on Thursday at the Future Submarine Construction Yard in Osborne in South Australia.
