South Korea is moving forward with plans to develop a light aircraft carrier, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
On Monday, a defense committee chaired by Defense Minister Suh Wook approved plans to field a 30,000-ton light carrier by 2033, reported the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
DAPA is pushing for the finance committee to complete a feasibility study for the US$1.82 billion project by August.
