An apparent senior leader of the Lord's Resistance Army, a Ugandan insurgent group, has turned himself in to U.S. forces in the Central African Republic, reports the BBC.
A man claiming to be Dominic Ongwen surredered, said a U.S. official on Tuesday, as cited by Channel News Asia.
The Ugandan military is trying to identify him, said a spokesman on Wednesday. Washington is also attempting to verify the man's identity.
